Does anyone know of a good home remedy for toe nail fungus ?

Tea tree oil is supposed to be good. I've got a fungus on my big toenail but I'm not good at applying the medication. My toenail looks terrible. My doc says this is extremely hard to cure and very few people actually get rid of it. Good luck. Let me know.Does anyone know of a good home remedy for toe nail fungus ?
Soak it in apple cider vinegar and use tea tree oil. Taking silver will help also. Silver has been used to help fight germs, bacteria, and other unfriendly microorganisms. Good luck. If you want more info on the silver, here's a good start. http://www.ghchealth.com/silver-fuzion.p鈥?/a>Does anyone know of a good home remedy for toe nail fungus ?
! teaspoon of boric acid and 2 teaspoon of rubbing alcohol. Mix them together and soak a cotton ball and rub it all over your toes. Do this every day until it clears up. By the way, boric acid is highly poisonous if ingested! Do not take it orally and make sure you keep it away from children!!!
Also heard that Listerine was good for it. A mixture of bleach and water works. You need to try several of these to see what works for you. You can buy stuff for fungus at some of the beauty shops, like Sally Hansen;s store. They work better than the prescription stuff the doctor gave to my husband and was a lot cheaper.
Should consult a skin specialist.
I've heard that putting Vicks Vapo Rub on the nail a couple of times a day works. It may take time since the nail has to actually grow out in order for it to be gone, though. But I guess it stops the fungus from growing.
This is a two step process. First eliminate the underlying problem - something made the toe nails susceptible to this fungus. It's usually poor diet (almost always too much refined sugar in a factor), poor elimination, and some element of hygiene (keeping the nails dry and clean). Second eliminate the source of re-infection - clean up the nails and shoes (and any other environment that might harbor the spores). My preference is tea tree oil. Soak the feet with a mild solution of tea tree oil daily for a week, then every few days. Use a nail brush and gently clean, then carefully dry the feet. The nails will look better very quickly, but will need to grow out before all of the damage is gone.
Here are a few to try: undiluted tea tree oil mixed with olive oil (on a Q-tip) rubbed under the nail; soaking your toes in Listerine (seriously, I heard this works); soaking your toes in a mixture of 1/2 warm water and 1/2 apple cider vinegar.

Use one at a time. Also, you could try some Oil of Oregano. 2 drops mixed with 1 tsp olive oil. Use this daily for 2-3 weeks.

Start taking a good probiotic. Florajen3 has 15 billion count... many others are only 1 billion or so.
Canesten is good for tinea and other fungus and you only have to apply the cream once a day for a few weeks.

A web search for canesten + fungus will tell you more.
