Anyone use Vicks vapo-rub for nail fungus and have it actually work?

Miss Vicki

Vicks vapor rub is only really effective for softer nails - either nails that have only just started to show signs of fungus or infants nails.

You may want to try something acidic (ie vinegar) or maybe a beer soak.Anyone use Vicks vapo-rub for nail fungus and have it actually work?
I have never heard of this, but the last link has claims of vitamin E or vicks vapo rub working for people (testimonials) . Nail fungus sometimes requires prescription medications (ie Lamisil) to get rid of it, due to the fact that it is underneath the nail ....best bet is to see a podiatrist if it is the toe nails..you might have to have a liver test before you take something like Lamisil.

No, did you end up with a fungus because of acrylic nails? If so go to the shop where you had your nails done. They can put some stuff on it that will kill the fungus.

Do it right away, I'm sure they won't even charge you for it, all they need to do is just wipe it on. I think also rubbing alcohol will kill the fungus, call the nail salon and ask them.

Good luck!!
