Get a hand full of pubes' with a sprinkle of piss crumbs, mix that and the toe nail fungus in a hot cup of dirty under ware water (ya know, the kinda underware with the nice bacon strips in 'em) until it produces a sweet sticky type of nectar in which you apply to the inside of your upper lip. Not only will you enjoy the taste for hours you can enjoy the hint of urine/foot all day long.

Great question!

  • Besides Lamisil, does anybody know of a product that WILL cure nail fungus under your nail bed?

id just keep going at it with the lamisil... if that doesnt work get a prescription. its tough to treat toe fungus, especially under the nail bed so it might take awhile....Besides Lamisil, does anybody know of a product that WILL cure nail fungus under your nail bed?
No but I want to know too. I have fungus under two of my nails.Besides Lamisil, does anybody know of a product that WILL cure nail fungus under your nail bed?
you can try looking it up ;)

Is there a cure for nail fungus, other than Lamisil?

You're a nurse. You know that onychomycosis is in the nail bed. Most any systemic antifungal can be used - fluconazole, itraconazole, ketoconazole, etc. -- and has been used with success.

Say, didn't you ask this same question 5 months ago?Is there a cure for nail fungus, other than Lamisil?
Allpressan has a product for nail fungus. Is there a cure for nail fungus, other than Lamisil?
Yes ...but anything topical is going to take a lot longer to cure the fungus!
    Vick`s vapor rub.
Tea Tree oil if you put it on your nails a few times a day,and keep them dry this works much faster then lamisil, and its only 5-10 dollars at wal-mart,or your local health and natural food stores. It worked for me.Try it

I need a real remedy for severe nail fungus. Tried Lamisil and it didnt work..?

Tell your doctor and he can give you a prescription for medication to take.I know someone who's had the same problem no amount of ointments work.I need a real remedy for severe nail fungus. Tried Lamisil and it didnt work..?
There is a natural nail fungus remedy in this ebookI need a real remedy for severe nail fungus. Tried Lamisil and it didnt work..?
    That usually works.See a podiatrist.

Is there non prescription treatment for toe nail fungus?

Dermatophye infestations are particularly nasty and extremely difficult to cure. I had some success with a combination of (wait for it) Vicks Vap-o-rub and Tea Tree Oil, but the following year the discoloration came back. To be really effective, this method requires that you either thin the nail down with a file, or remove part of it so you can reach the actual fungus.

For onychomycosis, ';pulse'; oral therapy with the newer imidazoles (itraconazole or fluconazole) or allylamines (terbinafine) is considerably less expensive than continuous treatment but has a somewhat lower mycologic cure rate. The only other option is to use a topical ointment (Lamisil cream), and that has to be applied after EVERY shower or bath. And the worst part is that no matter which treatment you decide upon they all take up to six months to see any improvement!!!

Good luck with that. I still feel that you would be better off seeing your doctor. Is there non prescription treatment for toe nail fungus?
If your nail is just thickened, then try filing it down to a thinner nail and scrub it with soap and water and a brush; it will probably not cure it all the way, but it will help quite a bit.Is there non prescription treatment for toe nail fungus?
Get some CLOBET cream from your pharmacy. I use it and have had good success with it. Rub it in good sparingly three times a day. It will take a while. When you think it is gone then keep using the cream for another five days. It may come Beck so keep the cream around and even after bath put some on as it will not harm you in any way.
Yes there are OTC remedies but they take quite a while of religious use! soak the toes in white vinegar and warm water twice a day and scrub with a soft brush under the toe nails,They should clear up in a few weeks, and be sure to wash the brush and spritz with bleach after each use!
    lamisil?
    yes
I too suffer from this, there is non prescription treatment, but it does not work. See your doctor, I know it takes time to clear but it is the best way. As for MEDMAN's answer, well the village he comes from is minus an idiot!
No. There are some things you can try to do if it's not gotten too bad yet. If you have all your toe nails with fungus, just try to get a prescription for Lamisil (the cream is not going to help the nail, you need to get the tablets). Nothing else is going to work (even with a prescription medication you have to wait until all your nail grows back again).

If you only have one nail, you can try the white vinegar wash, but make sure to do it twice a day, EVERYDAY, until it goes completely away. You can also try Gentian Violet. The big recommendation is keeping your feet and nails dry throughout the process.
a small amount of Tea Tree Oil rubbed into nail 2-3 times daily
Yes, an axe. Available at fine hardware stores everywhere.

soak them in peroxide,or go buy some medication for it.
A doctor will fix that in no time.
buy some hydrogen peroxide solution from the chemist and dilute it with water. soak the nail and fingertip for 3-10mins every day.

if youve got acrylic nails have them removed straight away as the weight of the acrylic can pull the nail further away from the nail bed.

go to you pharmacist and get some nail fungus treatments the fungus grows out of the nail gradually but it will work.
Soak it in some kind of tea tree oil or try Vicks Vapo rub
bleach and water not a lot(of bleach) but if you can't get to a foot doctor it will kill the fungus

A low cost vinegar nail fungus home remedy has worked for many people people, you can try this:

Simply place 2 drops of distilled white vinegar (available at any grocery store) at the growing base of the effected nail twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening. The vinegar can be applied with a dropper bottle or if you prefer, you can soak a cotton Q-tip and apply the vinegar that way.

Next, this procedure will have to be continued untill the infected nail is grown right off the body. That could take 6 months or longer for an infected toenail.

It is important that not a single application is missed because if you do, any new nail that is grown that day will be susceptible to fungal reinfection.

After following this vinegar nail fungus treatement for about two months you should see normal nail growing at the base of the nail. But remember you must continue the treatment until the infected nail grows right off he body. What is a home remedy for nail fungus... HELP?

How to treat nail fungus on foot?

i have tried everything even prescription How to treat nail fungus on foot?
Have you been to a doctor? If the PX didn't work, tell your doctor. It takes a long time to get rid of that nail fungus. How to treat nail fungus on foot?
Nail fungus is a bacterial infection under the nail and therefore cannot be treated by topical solutions. Prescription drugs can help but it takes 1 year to work and can hurt your liver.

Try going on a detox diet and increases your water consumption.

Also ive heard from a aesthetician that soaking your feet (for the nails) in a foot bath of Listerine ( the yellow one ) everyday for 2 weeks straight for about an hour will soften the nail making it porous and then the antibacterial solution will get to the fungus and help to heal the new growing nail. The sooner in life you take care of this the better. This is something that is coming from your body and can come back if you don't treat it and maintain good foot hygiene.
If even prescriptions didn't work I believe there's likely a surgery that can be performed. I would guess it essentially amounts to the doctor removing the nail at the affected are and applying the medication directly to the are. Another option the doctor might have is to drill a small hole through the nail and apply the medication that way. I'm not a podiatrist so I can't say for sure but those would be the two methods I would guess they'd use since prescription drugs didn't work.
Make sure you have followed the doctor's directions in detail. Or you can ask your doctor if the drug he gave you was not enough.

hope the information can give you some help
Vicks ointment. Rub your feet %26amp; nails with vicks. It takes about 4 to 6 weeks, %26amp; cures it for a high percentage of people.

Becareful of both these answers. The 1st answer is from a lady that has answered 504 since february of 2009. Think about it. Do you really think someone wants to be THAT helpful? She is a scammer. She is using yahoo answers as a business.

There is a program out there that teaches people to come into yahoo answers and post 10 answers without a link and then post a money link in the 11th answer. A link deceiving the person who's in misery to go to the website so that they can make a commission off of you and your misery.

I'm pretty sure that was the first one is doing. It teaches to build a reputation on yahoo answers so that they can start making money off of people by sending them to affiliate products that they make money off of. Becareful of this sly scumbucket scammer.

The second one is doing the same but it's more obvious. You can see her referral code in the product. These people just want your money. They should rot in hell for this.

Becareful of anyone sending you to a product. If you order the product make sure you don't give them a referral link so that no one makes money off of you.

As for the nail fungus, see a doctor. A dermatologist. I had fungus on my foot and he scraped some skin and found out what fungus it was. He prescribed the right cream to kill it. Hope this helps.Nail fungus and treatment?
Over-the-counter treatments are available in the form of liquids, solutions, and creams. You apply these products directly to the nail and surrounding skin. Common topical antifungals include clotrimazole (brand name Lotrimin AF), miconazole (Micatin) and terbinafine (Lamisil). Because they do not penetrate the nail, they work best in infections of the skin or nail surface, as in athlete鈥檚 foot. When the fungus has invaded the nailbed, prescription medicines have the best chance of treating the infection.

    I hope it gets better!

The most important thing you need to do when dealing with nail fungus is to keep your nails clean and dry. Your feet need to breathe - so make sure and not wear cheap plastic shoes that prevent this from happening. Don't wear shoes that are too tight also - as this can have the same affect.

Does tea tree oil works on nail fungus??? and where do you get it?

Hey, i see the people under me [ or over me, where ever my answer goes] said that Vic's vapor rub works, and from a 5 year nail fungus battle experience, it doesn't. it looks like it's working, but it's really just making your nail moist. tea tree oil might not either.. what i've been doing is cutting my nail back to expose the crusty cracked yellowish infected part, filing it down, then putting generic bleach on it. [with a q-tip etc.] it has killed most of the fungus and i've only been doing this for three or four days now, it looks great. clearing up very nicely. you have to be VERY aggressive to kill nail fungus. when you file your nail, make sure you don't miss a single spot. it's very easy to miss a few spots or spores and have it get infected again. if the bleach starts to burn [ witch generic shouldn't...] wash it off Immediately! you can mess up your nail bed that way. hope i helped.Does tea tree oil works on nail fungus??? and where do you get it?
Yes and you can get it in a health food store and in some drug stores.Vicks Vapo Rub works too.Does tea tree oil works on nail fungus??? and where do you get it?
I don't know about tea tree oil, but i do know that Vick's Vapor rub works really well.

I heard a strange treatment for toe-nail fungus today,Vicks vapor rub. Anyone have any info on this?

I have heard it helps but i really believe that once you have a toe nail fungus you have it for ever, the only real way to get rid of it is to permanently remove the nail and kill the nail bed.

I used listerine and tea tree oil, both have helped but neither have cured and with Lamisil Ihad a terrible allergic reaction.I heard a strange treatment for toe-nail fungus today,Vicks vapor rub. Anyone have any info on this?
You can try rubbing any wacky goop on your toes that you want. The sad reality is that none of them work because none of them can penetrate through the nail to where the fungus is in the nail bed. If you took real medicine you have a risk of liver damage. After a year of taking the medicine when the fungus is gone it could show up again in a few weeks.

There is no herbal or organic stuff either that can do anything nor do the ';medicated'; drops that you put on. None work and all are a waste of your money.

Your body has a fundamental weakness that permitted the fungus to start growing there and the weakness is life long. That is what a dermatologist would say.I heard a strange treatment for toe-nail fungus today,Vicks vapor rub. Anyone have any info on this?

I am looking for a remedy for nail fungus ?

it seems like i saw a story on tv but, i could not find it . pouring some thing on the nails .........either store bought or is it homemade ????????I am looking for a remedy for nail fungus ?
There are several treatments that can work on fungus in nails, but most require a prescription from a doctor. You can ask a pharmacist for advice and they should be able to help the best since they know the most about all the medications and how effective they are. It is very difficult to get rid of fungus under nails, and if it is really bad, sometimes the nail is removed. There are pills that work the best and have to be taken either continuously for 4-6weeks or others that are taken for one week each month for 3-6months, depending on how bad a case one has.I am looking for a remedy for nail fungus ?
For nail fungus...tea tree oil and oil of oregano are good choices.....you can mix a few drops of tea tree oil with Vicks vapor rub also and apply 2-3 times daily....to see results you will have to be presistant....results will be visible as the old nail grows out and the new nail grows in fungus free
Nothing topical will work! See your doctor there is a pill you can take that will clear it up! It is expencive but him the doctor send your script to the Wal-Mart Pharm. it's on their 4 dollar list and you can get it for 4 bucks! It's gonna work!
I used to have this. I had a visit to the doctor and she prescribed a medicine, well it was some cream which i can't remember the name of. I used it for two days and it was gone. So, my advice to you is to visit your doctor.
They have over-the-counter stuff you can buy, but if it's really bad you might have to see a foot doctor and have them prescribe something for you. It's a liquid that you put on your nails.
silver colloidal...but it might make you skin turn blue

    Hi Deva

I think this is the info you need. Kill a fungus/infection is what you need done. Here are plenty of ideas that will work.

    Symptoms

Symptoms of infection include redness, inflammation, pain, swelling, and pus formation (abscess) at the site of the infection. Fever, cough, sneezing, fatigue, and bowel dysfunction (diarrhea) can also arise due to infection.

Note: Antibiotics do not protect against viral infection or inflammatory conditions, although they are often prescribed for such conditions.

Moreover, antibiotics destroy both harmful bacteria and the beneficial bacteria in the gastrointestinal tract, potentially causing digestive and gastrointestinal problems and systemic yeast (Candida albicans) overgrowth.

    --------------------------------------鈥?br>

    Natural Cures

Aromatherapy: For fungicidal infections, cedarwood is effective, while for infected wounds, frankincense, tea tree, and/or patchouli can be useful.

Diet: Increase your intake of garlic and unflavored yogurt, and add infection fighting foods, such as diluted and organic (no sugar added) orange juice, apples and apple juice, grapes and grape juice, cranberries, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, peaches, plums, figs, cabbage, onion, kelp, and raw honey to your diet. Avoid sugar in any form, and drink plenty of filtered water.

Herbs: Herbs that act as anti-infectious agents include echinacea, goldenseal, garlic, Oregon grape, barberry, and adaptogenic herbs such as Siberian ginseng. Grapefruit seed extract also has strong antibiotic-like properties and can be applied topically or taken orally. Olive leaf extract has both antibacterial and antiviral properties, making it useful for a wide range of infections.

Hydrotherapy: Hydrotherapy is the application of water, ice, steam and hot and cold temperatures to maintain and restore health. Treatments include full body immersion, steam baths, saunas, sitz baths, colonic irrigation and the application of hot and/or cold compresses. Hydrotherapy is effective for treating a wide range of conditions and can easily be used in the home as part of a self-care program. Many Naturopathic Physicians, Physical Therapists and Day Spas use Hydrotherapy as part of treatment.

Hyperthermia: Hyperthermia involves artificially creating fever in the body for the purpose of boosting immune function. Hyperthermia can be a highly effective method of eliminating toxins and heavy metals, as well as infectious bacteria and viruses that cannot survive in elevated body temperatures.

*Purified water is essential for any hydrotherapy or hyperthermia treatment. Remedies for Treating Chlorinated Bath Water offers clear instructions and recommendations.

Juice Therapy: Combining the juices of carrot, celery, beet, cantaloupe, and ginger can be helpful.

Nutritional Supplementation: The following nutritional alternative to antibiotics is often effective in treating infection, particularly in the initial stages: vitamin A (400,000 IU daily for five days), liquid garlic extract (up to two 4-ounce bottles a day) or the equivalent of high-quality garlic in capsules or tablets, and vitamin C to bowel tolerance.

Note: This protocol should only be used only under your doctor`s guidance. The dosages are for an average 150-pound adult and should be scaled down proportionately according to weight. The vitamin A should be taken for a period of at least three days, but no more than five days. In addition, vitamin A in these doses can cause headaches in about 1% of those who use it. Should this occur, decrease the dose.

Other useful nutrients for dealing with infection include: colloidal silver, essential fatty acids (EFAs), bromelain (an enzyme with anti-inflammatory properties), calcium, magnesium, vitamin B complex, vitamin B6, and zinc.

    Alternative Professional Care

If your symptoms persist despite the above measures, seek the help of a qualified health professional. The following professional care therapies have all been shown to be useful for treating infection: Acupuncture, Craniosacral Therapy, Detoxification Therapy, Environmental Medicine, Magnetic Field Therapy, Naturopathic Medicine, Oxygen Therapy, Reflexology, and Traditional Chinese Medicine

Best of health to youFungus infection under the hand nail-plate Under treatment from dermotologists for morethan a year .?
Well, i know how you feel. It took me 10 years to re-grow a new nail on my toe! Then my doctor took out an in-grown nail on the toe and i got it back also. My thumb is also a problem. I have just cut it and cleaned it, cut it and cleaned it....goodness, 5 years! It looks like a normal nail growth now but hallow, because i clean it out from the inside. I put nail polish to cover it but it darkened the nail so now i have a dark nail in the center and people told me not to do that because the nail needs to breath...hmmmmm

The other thing someone suggested was to use Vaseline everyday all the time on the area and she said she got her nail back in two to three months.

You can also use Tea-Tree Oil. Pure....everyday on the hour off the hour. All the time! The pure Tree Tea Oil i got at a health food store and did cost me 20 something dollars. I do not want to take he medicine because it may work or may not work and it does take a very long time...up to a year and you will cause yourself more harm then good...Moisture is one of the problems for the nails which can cause fungus....Fungus is in the air and some people are just too sensitive to it. Wash the nail clippers after every use in proxide or bleach water.

:\Can u get a toe nail fungus if u used toe clippers from someone who had it?
yes you can..one of leading reason people get toe nail fungus and athletes foot is from using other peoples clippers/files,etc...i would even be careful going to an actual nail salon to get a mani/pedi...those utensils have been used on alot of other people..my sister in law got athletes foot after getting a pedi...so yes you can get things like that from using other people clippers. Can u get a toe nail fungus if u used toe clippers from someone who had it?
YES you can! Buy and use only your own clippers, don't let anyone borrow them.

the problem with nail fungus is it difficult to get at... have you considered an anti-fungal pill?

I had years of problems with sub-cutaneous athletes foot since college. Both medical doctors and dermatologists said all sorts of bizarre crap for years on how to treat the fungus none of which worked since topical meds never penetrated my skin. Then I switched to a new dermatologist as my health plan changed again and he said here is a pill and it is expensive and may not be covered by your insurance... the pill was covered and the pill worked in less than a week.

How the hell do u treat nail fungus?

cuz its ******* discusting and makes me want to vomit so i was wondering if anyone new of a way to treat toe fungus that actually works.thanxHow the hell do u treat nail fungus?
you definitely need to get rid of fungus!

Getting rid of finger nail fungus is easier in some ways, and more difficult in others. Many people will act on a finger nail infection long before they will start asking how to get rid of toe nail fungus, simply because toes can be kept out of sight, but ugly fingernails are a daily embarrassment. People start getting rid of finger nail fungus before the infection is too far advanced. However, it's much harder to get a topical treatment to stay on a fingernail when you鈥檙e using your hands all the time, and it's much harder to sit for 15 to 30 minutes every day with your hands soaking in a solution.

Pick any method for getting rid of finger nail fungus, or any advice on how to get rid of toe nail fungus. If you do any reading, you will quickly discover that all methods are fickle. VapoRub works for some and not for others. Stories of success with a vinegar soak abound; so do stories of failure. Some lucky people report success in weeks; some stress that you may have to keep at it for a year or more. Even the prescription medications have a relatively poor success rate. The bottom line is that curing nail fungus infection is difficult.

for me and my husband worked very well ZetaClear! I think it is the fastest way to get rid of fungus! Nail fungus is tough to treat. The extracts in Zetaclear provide the most powerful therapeutic effect for healthy looking nails.

Obviously, you can't spray herbicide on your feet or hands! The next best thing is Zetaclear. It's made from all-natural homeopathic ingredients. This product works time after time and results are guaranteed. This extra strength solution is designed to be as aggressive and strong as possible, without causing irritation.

It worked fast and still works for me!

I do not know if any pharmacies carry ZetaClear but I do know that you should purchase it directly from the manufacturer and read more about the product here http://www.zetaclear.com/?aid=221781How the hell do u treat nail fungus?
There are Various treatments the one that works best is Prescription pills. Unfortunately they have bad side effects including Liver damage . There are topical creams but they dont work well ,You can try Lotrimon cream over the counter but u have to get it up under the nail where the infection is. The best bet is discuss it with your physician and weigh your options.
I have the same thing and all the ointments i have bought at the drug store did nothing. You'll have to go to the doctor and see if he or another doctor can get you on a treatment and i heard it takes 2 weeks to have it almost gone.I am going to my doc tomorrow as mine are thick cracked and sooo gross.
It depends on which stage the fungus is in. If you've tried topical treatments and they don't work, it might be time to move onto oral treatments or seeing a doctor for prescription treatments
It can only be cured by a certain prescribed pill from the doctor. The underlying cause of the fungus is in the nail bed itself. You really can't do much to permanently get rid of it with out the prescription.

    Best Luck!

How can I get rid of fungus in my thumb nail?

Vicks Vapor Rub. I know it sound weird, but it's true. No one knows why Vicks VapoRub cures nail fungus. But it does.

Just put a little dab of Vicks on the tip of your finger, and rub it on the affected nail and around the cuticle. Do it once in the morning, and again in the evening. And be patient. It will not go away overnight. In fact, it will take about four to six months for the nail to completely grow out and the fungus to disappear. But you will be able to see healthy nail beginning to form at the cuticle as your nail growsHow can I get rid of fungus in my thumb nail?

The Vicks vapor rub does work but does take time. Also you can soak your hands feet in a weak Clorox solution 1/2 cup to gallon of water and soak once to twice a day. DO NOT use these if you are a Diabetic. Let your Doctor help. these are great for Athletes foot. Fungus varieties are many. It should not hurt to try home remedies and if its stubborn Go to Doctor. I have tried the Tea tree oil but have not had great success with fungals.
There are a multitude of treatments from Tea Tree Oil, to topical applications like tioconazole or Amorolfine, or oral medication like Terbinafine or Itraconazole.

The oral treatments will need to be prescribed by a doctor, as will most of the topical treatments - your pharmacist should be able to offer you a topical treatment over the counter.

Is there a home remedy for toe nail fungus? My sons looks like his nail is dying Not black or green.?

Firstly, you must feet his feet, sock and shoes very clean and dry. Normally when fungus gets under the nail, you need a product by the name of lamasil.

I have been to the Dr. for toe nail fungus.....yuck I know but..?

I cannot get rid of it. Dr.s prescribe a medication for it that will be so hard on you liver, I do not want to take it. I have tried every over the counter medication I can buy, none works. Any body know of a home remedy for this?I have been to the Dr. for toe nail fungus.....yuck I know but..?

I agree with the vicks vapor rub. My foot dr. told me that it was the cheapest way to cure a nail fungus. He told me to make sure that there is no nail polish on the toes and apply the vicks several times throughout the day. But, make sure you use a different q-tip for each toe.
I heard that good ol' Vicks Vapor rub will work. Rub it on you nails daily.
take the meds it works and it has a hard time with liver but you hae blood work and check it all the time that is what the doctor is for so get moving oni t.
I know how you feel. I've had similar. I tried the docotor prescribed stuff, Lamisil I think it was called. Didn't enjoy it one bit, had to have blood taken constantly to monitor me in case of side effects (this may be what your doctor is talking about)....the other person said it worked, it didn't for me and the constant doctor visits made it worse.

I'll not be taking any more prescribed drugs from the doc! I started to look down the natural route, people suggested things like vinegar (made my feet smell!) I had a limited success with vapour rub, but when i stopped putting it on it came back and I smelt like I had a cold all the time haha.

So I kept looking and have tried a few herbal remedies, I am now with one I have finally found that works! It's got a free trial on now too, where you can get free bottles. I was a bit sceptical at first, did some research and and gave it a shot, I started slowly but used the free trial recently to get 6 bottles for 4. Fingers crossed on the way to the end of this terror.

    Hope that helps you ;-)

If I had toe nail fungus I'd go to my doctor to get something to get rid of it.
Nail fungus can be very tricky to fix as your toe nails grow out so slowly. First trim all the fungal nail parts off you can. Cotton sox are prefect, tee tree oil OK twice or even three times a day (would skip the vicks); you can also clean nail with chlorox diluted (may be alternate with the vinegar). Be prepared to treat up to 6 months (with the tee tree and it should be 10%)...OR you could just get some over the counter lamisil Hp and treat for 7 days.
if you want! there seems to be no proof that that kind of treatment works...the fungus you have is under the nail...if you can get the treatment under the nail it might work...but.....the stuff on tv...with the little critters under the nails...used that 4 years ago...expensive as hell but it did work and i have never had it return. my toe nails actually hurt from the fungus....if you have insurance its worth the dedectable to get rid of the fungus.. before using the professional stuff i tried alot of the stuff yoru talking about...my feet where clean..but never got rid of the fungus.
Just get your doctor to prescribe you some Lamisil tablets, they work!
Vick's Vapor Rub on feet?? How about you just go see your doctor for a good cream.

In general, everything you are up to with this routine is OK, except for the socks. They SHOULD NOT be cotton's. Cotton socks feed your feet's fungus. Wear polyester socks until you see a definite improvement. The reason is because feet's fungus love humidity, something you'll get in your feet a lot easier by using cotton socks.

The only thing I would do different is that before going to bed at night, I would cream my feet with a powerful Colloidal Silver cream, and then would wear the polyester socks until next day.

Good luck! :)I want to use this treatment for toe nail fungus whats your view???
    works, takes time.
Tea tree oil is an excellent natural antifungal product. Apple cider vinegar is also used for treating fungal and viral infections. Using these products certainly woudn't hurt, but it might take a long time (several months) to see results. Toe nail fungus can be very difficult to treat. I'm not sure about the Vicks, though.
I do not know about your treatment, get something better at the drugstore. Watch out for hard soaps. Use soap for sensitive skin only, like White Dove. Some soaps affect the skin and even nail toes. Go to the doctor and get a diagnosis.

Can u get a nail fungus from fake nails?

Yes you can get a nail fungus. The reason why is because you are not letting your own nail to grow with oxygen. Also your nail is weak and brittle. The more you leave fake nails on your own they start to get nasty. Can u get a nail fungus from fake nails?

    yes
yes i know someone that it happened to
Of course, if they are not clean when you put them on or you don't take proper care of them.
    I think so...but don't worry, its a fake fungus!
yes, if they are not clean or the items that they use are not clean,
Most defnitely. Not all nail shops are that sanitary and even done at home, infection can begin under the acrylics. They will also weaken your natural nails.
Omg yes, stay away from fake nails. They're ugly anyway.
Lack of oxygen (nail beds need air, too) and inaccessibility to the nail itself allows microorganisms to multiply and penetrate the natural nail into the nailbed. Remember, the natural nail is permiable to the air.
    yes
Well in fact if you don't clean them once every two weeks it could happen
yes acrylic nails cause nail fungus

How do you treat toe-nail fungus infection?

First you should go to a Dr. like a dermatologist and they would clip the nail and have it tested to confirm a fungal infection. Then the doctor will determine what is the best treatment for your condition. Over the counter remedies do not work for fungal infection. There is a medication that you take and it will help you with the infection but it will take up to 6 month for you to see a normal nail. Once the infection is taken care of by your doctor you need to let grow you nail until all of the ugly part of the infection is grown out.How do you treat toe-nail fungus infection?
You can take a product called Lamisil, it's a prescription and you must get your liver tested regularly. But the best natural way is to use Tea Tree Oil. It is from the Tea Tree in Australia and is a natural antifungal and antiseptic. Dab a little on a Q-tip and put it under your nails twice a day. It may take a couple of weeks, but it will improve as the nail grows out. You can purchase it at any health food store or Trader Joe's if you have them where you live. How do you treat toe-nail fungus infection?

I pulled off my acrylic nail and half of it was discolored green and brown. Does this mean that it may be a fungus? I have never seen anything like this.I pulled off my acrylic nail and half of it was discolored green. Could this be a fungus?
Yes, I can almost promise you that it is.

Any nail salon can help you out by applying a coat of fungicide. You can also find this at your local beauty supply store. It will paint on like polish.

In most cases, you can apply a coat of the fungicide to kill the fungus, and then buff the nail, to make the discoloration go away. FYI, when you buff it, you'll want to use a buffer that you can throw away. Otherwise, the fungus might stick to the buffer, and you'd contaminate other nails by using it.

What is toe nail fungus? I think I may have it?

Not a nice subject, I know! I have seen pictures of severe cases and it looks revolting. My big toe is nothing like those grusome pics, but it is a bit yellow on the top section and the nail top has lifted very slightly from the toe and the top part of the nail has an edge (like a french manicure!!) which it does not usually. There is no pain or discomfort. The other big toe and all others are not affected.

I don't know if I am being paranoid?

I keep my feet washed and clean. What is toe nail fungus? I think I may have it?
In my experience the only thing that gets rid of nail fungus is a prescription from your GP called Loceryl - its what I used to recommend for my patients - it does sound like you have a nail Fungal infection - (however if you have Psoriasis - this could also be the cause), see your Gp for the loceryl. It will take up to a year, appying loceryl once a week. Nothing else works as well

Research shows this is the quickest and most effective way to clear it up.

Toenail fungus is one of the many symptoms of candida albicans fungus (yeast). There is some basic info at www.hufa.org at the yeast link.

I am using NONEX gel. It is available at the drugstore (United States). It helps the lifting, and has a mild anti-fungal. Apply after bath and once again during day (I do morning and night). It was recommended by my podiatrist, after he shaved my nail down with a Dremel (ugggghhh!). It works.

Otherwise, keep feet clean and dry, with a routine dusting of anti-fungal powder (Zeasorb-AF is my choice). This also helps prevent athlete's feet (also due to the same fungus).
it is a fungal infection under the nail that grows and distorts the nail and discolours it. It need not be painful. It could be itchy. It is best to consult a doctor who will test if it really is a fungus and give you appropriate medication.
It doesn't really matter how clean your feet are, if you get a fungus you need a special medication to get rid of it. If you toenail is thicker than usual or is yellow or otherwise discolored you have a fungus. Go to the foot aisle at the drug store and get some Pro-Clearz, brush on your nail twice a day and it will go away.

one home remedy is Listerine mouth wash the orange bottle dilute it just a little bit with warm water soak your feet in it for about 15mins it works i have been using it on my cat
You will be wasting your time. You need to see a podiatrist and be put on a systemic medication. Topical, over-the-counter medications and home-remedies are generally ineffective. I know from personal experience.

Fungal infections are caused by microscopic organisms called Dermatophytes. Dermatophytes grow in the nail bed, beneath the nail and live off keratin, the protein in the nail. The condition usually begins towards the far end of the nail and may start with patches of white or yellow discoloration. If the condition is left untreated, it will proceed to the base of the nail. It will attack the nail root (matrix) and cause the nail to grow very thick and deformed. The big toe is usually the first nail to be affected with the condition spreading to adjacent nails. In rare cases this condition can also affect the skin surrounding the nails.
The quickest and most sure-fire way to treat toe nail fungus is through prescription. Lamisil has been proven to work very well and comes in both a pill and cream form. Talk to your doctor/a dermatologist.

Can u still get ur toes done at the nail shop if u beginning to have a fungus?

So my little sister is goin on prom sat and it looks like she detting a fungus on her big toe. Her nail is not fully yellow and there still is some pink but its a little discoloration. Will the nail shop still do her toes? Can u still get ur toes done at the nail shop if u beginning to have a fungus?
Some shops will and some shops won't but putting nail polish on fungus is only something that she should do temporarily. Nail fungus won't just go away. It will spread and all her toes will look like that if something isn't done about it. There is a ton of information about home remedies, products that will get rid of it and about everything you need to know about it at a website I found. Check it out.

Tell your sister to get her nails done and enjoy the prom but then make sure and get the fungus taken care of so it doesn't spread. The earlier she catches it the easier it will be to get rid of too. So tell her to get right on it. Nobody wants to go without ever letting their feet show and that's what happens often if the fungus starts making them look ugly. Good luck.

i suggest seeing a dermatologist. i'd probably soak it in peroxide or to try to kill the fungus. keep your feet dry when not soaking it.Can someone please help me! Bad nail fungus, painful swelling around big toe!! Help please!?
nail fungus is the only way to rid of it can usea tooth brush and every day brush with acholol (rubbing) it could take a year to clear there is meds to take for that it can help and clear it also it means you are not drying your feet off very good. there is stuff to damage the liver but you let the doctor check that all the time and he will. it sounds like you have ingrown toe nail . if you do you can cut v cut in the middle of the toe nail that hurts and it will relieve the pain. you have to cut nails straight across let it grow higher on the sides. take care.
Sorry I've never had this, but fungal infections can go to your blood if not treated on time. I've seen that happen so be on the safe side. Please dont let this go on any longer and visit your doctor asap. If there is swelling then it's very probable the infection will need oral meds to treat it. Whenever in doubt about a choice, ask yourself what action can bring about the best results with the least risks. Your best bet is to take both topical and oral medicines to help you win this fungus battle. As for your liver, im pretty sure it will be ok as long as you dont have a history of liver illness. If you want to research this topic i suggest you visit webmd.com

    Good Luck!!!
Is your nail growing into your skin? Because that is what is sounds like. Cut the nail as short as you can to like there is really very lil. I have to do this with all my toe nails because my nails enjoy growing into my skin and it gets puffy and red and hurts horribly and will get infected.

Try a topical spread like a neosporin or fungal gel. They sell those kind of things at the CVS or walgreens
use the small bottle of any fungicide. It is marketed under a lot of different names, but its basicly all the same. As long as it has anti-fungal in it , it will work. It wont work as fast as an RX, but i have used it on a fingernail %26amp; I recomend it. Its aapplied just like you apply nailpolish. Takes only seconds to dry. You can apply it 3 or 4 times a day. Good luck! Get your flip flops on %26amp; have a great summer!
my advice for you is to go to a podiatrist because they are the real experts when it comes to our feet. they are also the ones who know the right medication for your case. don't apply anything without getting his advice because that might get worse. go for a check-up now. hope i helped. good luck!
I suggest a podiatrist. How can you be sure it is a nail fungus? It could be an infection from improperly done pedicure. Have you had any professional pedicures? There have been many instances of nail infections from improperly sterilized equipment.
go to your local nail spa who may most likely advise you to see your doctor ASAP.

i've had something similar but not as bad as yours long before. it took two sessions of pedicures to get the ingrown taken out.

    good luck and take care
Any oral medication you take will probably be so short-term that it won't damage your liver. So I wouldn't worry about that. But I would definitely see a doctor ASAP, before it gets worse.

ewwAnybody had success ridding themselves of nail fungus?
im using tineacide ,this is my 3rd day and i am seeing results. it says to use 2 x a day, i keep applying it literally all day long, and it seems to be workingAnybody had success ridding themselves of nail fungus?
I used Tea Tree oil, smelled bad but it worked, took some time though.... change nail salons
Took Lamosil about 6 years ago, and never had a problem since.
Of course you know this is very difficult to get rid of and that there is no quick cure, but there are two you might try. Spray a 50/50 solution of hydrogen peroxide and water on your feet (or hands) and allow to dry every night before bed. Or you can try Tea Tree Oil (found in most pharmacies in the section where they sell vitamins and herbal products). Apply it to clean nails at least once a day. It works.

It hurts when I do footbath with vinegar (nail fungus), is it normal?

I don't need another home recipe, I just wnat to know whether it's normal that my skin around my toenails (maybe it's my toe nails) hurt when I am doing a footbath with white vinegar. I diluted with water (half/half).

I got rid of nail fungus with vinegar once so I stick to that but this time it's worse. Should I stop?

It's like it's burning my skin... I mean more like when you have a cut and you disinfect it with alcohol, well it hurts like that.

thanks for answering! It hurts when I do footbath with vinegar (nail fungus), is it normal?
    Well thats exactly whats happening!

Vinegar acts very similar to disinfecting liquids!

The burning sensation is the vinegar cleaning out all the germs that have been causing your nail fungus.

BUT. It actually should'nt be extremely painful.

If it is I'd consult a doctor or maybe somebody at a pharmacy to question them about this technique. Describe to them exactl what it is you feel when you use your recipe. If they advise against it, I'd follow their opinion! Sometimes alcohol disinfection can cause more damage than what the nail fungus has already done. If anything their are alot of moderately cheap products out there that you can use and get cleaner, less painful, and more effective results.

hope i helped. It hurts when I do footbath with vinegar (nail fungus), is it normal?
Foot torture for no success. It is mold not germs in your nail bed under nail and medicine can't reach it. Real medicine, applied for a year after a surgeon removes toenails, does not work very well. Any fungus that is gone will come back after you think you are done,

I believe the treatment using vinegar is only to put a couple of drops at the base of each nail twice a day...NOT to soak or footbath the entire foot.

    ';If an individual with onychomycosis (toenail fungus) will fill a dropper bottle with the cheapest distilled vinegar from the grocery store (do not use good vinegar that has not been distilled) and put 2 drops of the vinegar at the growing base of the affected nail every night and morning, within a few months, normal nail will begin to show at the base of the nail.';

Can Nail fungus be passed on by nail polish?

No. Nail polish has such strong solvents in it that any fungus would be killed before it touched you. Besides nail fungus is very hard to pass along. It usually can be contacted only by people that have a pre-disposition to it. It starts in the nail bed and it is hard to get down into thereCan Nail fungus be passed on by nail polish?
Only if you smear it onto everybody in the Salon. Can Nail fungus be passed on by nail polish?
Yes it can. There are many nail shops that have been shut down because they have been passing on fungi to their custmers. If a shop polishes someones nails with a fungus and then does yours, how comfortable will you be?
    no....its not contagious
Not in theory as the chemicals in the nail polish create a hostile environment for just about any fungal or bacterial growth.

I have ugly toe nail fungus since almost 3 years now. What can i do?

I have ugly toe nail fungus since almost 3 years now. I am just 31 years old and I heard that mostly old people get it. I can't wear sandales because it just looks so ugly and I am so jealous of people with nice clear nails. I already went to the doctor but she just said that there is nothing she can do since it's heredetery ( my father has it too ). The pharmacist at Walgreens told me that they have tablets (lamasil) which has to be taken at least 6 months. They cost 200 dollars a months ( insurance doesn't pay since it's ''just'' a cosmetic thing) and on top of it it can even harm the liver. He also said that it doesn't always help. Well I can't afford 200 dollars a months and I also don't want liver damage in exchange for clear nails. I also used a topical treatment but it also didn't help. It seem to stop the growing fungus a little bit but it never went away. Are there any other victims out there with toe nail fungus? Did anybody find a good treatment ? I would love to wear sandales again !!!! I am thankful for any advice.I have ugly toe nail fungus since almost 3 years now. What can i do?
I took two courses of lamisil and one course of sporanox without any relief from my toenail fungus. Then I started applying vicks vapo-rub to my toenail every day...right after my shower. I just used a tissue and rubbed a healthy blob on the nail and the surrounding skin. I did not wipe off the extra...just left it there (just put my socks on over top or just slipped into my sandals in summer). My nail is now growing out and the bottom half is healthy normal nail!

Please be aware, it takes a long, long time. Toenails grow slowly. I have been using the vicks for about 8 months now. I figure another 4 months and the nail will be totally grown out. Give it a try...it is working for me.I have ugly toe nail fungus since almost 3 years now. What can i do?

It's not just old people! I have done enough nail scrapings for a lab to know! Lamisil is bad for your liver, I have heard the Vicks and the tea tree oil do well, but both take a while to work.

Fungus is contracted when you walk on the ground bare footed, or when you sweat germs will gather under there and reproduce.

You can get it from pools or from the beach if you walk bear foot. It's really nasty and very difficult to get rid of. You need to take pills, put anti-bacterial creams and wait about 3 months till the new nail grow.
    Hi griffinevans,

You usually get nail fungus when you come in contact with other people who had it, like in common baths, showers etc.

It can easily be treated naturally. See below for more info and treatments.

common used baths, pools, hotel rugs...

use perscribed medication by doctor and never leave your foot moist.

I need a cure one that can help in like a month or a couple of weeks.

thanks! What are some ways that you can cure a fungus in your toe, the ones that rowen the nail?
Toenail fungus also known as onychomycosis is caused by a group of fungus called dermatophytes. These fungus are harmful because as they grow they feed on the keratin that makes up the surface of the toe nail. The two fingers that are more likely to be affected are the big toe finger and the little toe finger. Toe nail fungus causes disfiguration and discoloration of the nails. It is a contagious disease and some times it may be hereditary.

Tea tree oil is a potent natural antiseptic and fungicide that will help fight your fungus. Apply undiluted tea tree oil with olive oil to the affected toe nail. Alternatively you can put few drops of tea tree oil on toenails and rub it thoroughly every day.

Tea tree oil and Lavender oil:

Put equal amount of tea tree oil and lavender oil on a cotton ball or swab. Dab it under the top edge of the toe nail and surrounding area 2 or 3 times a day. Tea tree oil is natural antibiotic and lavender will help fight the infection and prevent skin irritation

    AHA creams:

Lather AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid) creams on to your feet before going to bed. This will flush the rough scaly skin from your feet that is more prone to growing fungus

    Diet for Toe nail fungus:

Diet plays a very vital role in curing any ailment. People suffering from toe nail fungus should include more probiotics 鈥?good bacteria, in their diet. This will help your body to get rid of the fungus. Yogurt and kefir are good sources of probiotics. Reduce intake of refined carbs like sugar, dairy products and vinegar. Olive leaf extract is an excellent internal anti-fungal agent.

What over the counter treatment works for nail fungus?

An infection of nail fungus (onychomycosis) occurs when fungi infect one or more of your nails. Onychomycosis (on-i-ko-mi-KO-sis) usually begins as a white or yellow spot under the tip of your fingernail or toenail. As the nail fungus spreads deeper into your nail, it may cause your nail to discolor, thicken and develop crumbling edges 鈥?an unsightly and potentially painful problem.

the best otc drug's are ciclopirox (Penlac), which you paint onto your infected nails and surrounding skin once a day.

  • Is this a toe nail fungus?

I usually keep nailpolish on my toes and the last couple times i have taken it off my toe nail is yellow and sometimes white or brownish in some areas. Which is why I continue to just put more polish on them to cover it up. they are not brittle and do not hurt though. kind of gross i know but what is it?Is this a toe nail fungus?
Toe nail fungus will generally misshape the nail in some way. It may be a weird texture, or have strange ridges in it. The yellow, brown, and white can be caused by other things. Nail polish is notorious for causing yellow stains. If you're concerned, try an over the counter medication for toe nail fungus and see if it makes a difference.

Now I see two other fingers on the same thing where that is starting. I looked up fungus, yeast infections and bacterial infections. What causes this, what do I do, who should I see?My nails seem to be seperating from the nail be, first one and now two others are starting, what is it fungus?
I would say it's: onycholysis it's a common nail disorder. It is the loosening or separation of a fingernail or toenail from its nail bed. It usually starts at the tip of the nail and progresses back.

Many things may cause onycholysis. Some of the most common causes are:

1.Repetitive trauma, e.g. daily tapping of long fingernails on a keyboard or counter

2.Overzealous manicure, e.g. manicure tools pushing beneath the nail to clear dirt and overuse of nail cosmetics

3.Prolonged immersion of nails in water.

Treatment of onycholysis depends on the cause of the problem. Eliminating or correcting the predisposing cause is the best treatment. For example, treatment of hyperthyroidism will allow the nails to regrow normally and nail infections can be treated with antimicrobials.

The portion of nail that has separated will not reattach to the nail bed and you will have to wait until the nail is fully regrown for the condition to be completely gone. Fingernails take 4-6 months to fully regrow whilst toenails may take twice as long.

To prevent deterioration or recurrence of onycholysis after it has cleared up:

Clip the affected portion of the nail, and keep the nails short.

Avoid injuring the affected nail, and keep the nail bed dry.

Avoid exposure to contact irritants such as nail enamel and enamel remover or solvents and detergents.

Wear light cotton gloves under vinyl gloves for wet work.

    Hope this helps!

There are many different types of treatments for nail fungus and toenail fungus. Some commercial treatments such as Lamisil tablets or ClearZal have been proven to help clear nail fungus quickly.

There is a drug called ';lamisil'; on the market. Or you could go to Dr. Foot.com. Very informative website.
Lamisil. My son took it and his nails cleared right up.
There is lamicil but, it is very hard on your liver. There are other things that you could try, like vineger or vicks or there are over the counter things you could try. I don't really know how effective they are though. My Dr. told me to keep my toenails painted with clear nail polish so i have been doing that and it doesn't seem to be spreading. Make sure your nails are dry all the time because the fungus will get worse. Otherwise go and see a foot Dr. maybe they can help you.
Please see the webages for more details and images on Paronychia. Over-the-counter antibiotic/antifungal skin ointment is avaiable in drug stores.
The best thing to do is go see a doctor and get a prescription for Lamisil or Sporanox. The over the counter medications work well for athletes foot but not nail fungus since the nail fungus is deep within. The creams don't penetrate the nail to cure it.
here are a couple of tried and true old remedies that have worked on clients of mine: Vick's, yes i said Vick's vapor rub. also, tea tree oil. you can find it in natural stores, rub either on the nails and the fungus will give it up. hope it helps!
Onychomycosis [fungal infection of nail] treated by systemic anti fungal tablets and topical anti fungal cream . please see dermatologist to proscribe it for you .
yes, you can get rid of nail fungus, simply soaking your nail in week pottasium hydroxide solution for about 2to3 minutes then scrap it. you also supplement it with taking anti fungal tablets. apply anti fungal ointment also.

How have you treated toe nail fungus?

I'm thinking of buying Lamisil (like in Nogales across the border where it's a lot cheaper)

I'm trying Leucatin right now it's a spray and a pill, but i just don't think it's gonna work.........I should have faith I guessHow have you treated toe nail fungus?
It can be several things besides fungus.

Chronic trauma and psoriatic arthritis can look like toe fungus.

topical antifungals are the easiest treatment but least effective.

oral antifungals are costly, you need blood tests, and have rare possible complications but are much more effective.

The end-all be-all treatment is to have the nail removed but that is pretty rare and radical treatment.

Best thing to do is to go see your local podiatrist. Lamasil can have very rare but serious side effect such as liver damage and white blood cell reduction. Lamisil treatment needs to be monitored by a doctor to be done safely. How have you treated toe nail fungus?
The oral anti-fungal medicines are effective, but expensive. As far as I know, medical science hasn't come up with a topical cure for this condition, nor has the naturopathic industry. Frustrating, I know. I have it also. I just keep my toenails trimmed and otherwise ignore it.
I would like to find this one out myself! I have it bad. My ex-wife took Lamisil and her nail ';half'; fell off and had to have them cut off the rest of the way. VERY PAINFULL! and it's bad on your liver.
Pick the first guy that answer your question. Vicks Vaporub will work for you, use it! Its fast and is not expensive.
This may sound weird but Vicks VapoRub is often quite effective. @ presription cures are PenLac which is painted on like fingernail polish or Lamisil which is a tablet taken by mouth.

A prescription from your doctor is the only guaranteed thing to work. You can get a tincture that you brush onto your niles after filing them down, but it can be tricky to keep up with it all the time, so you can take tablets instead, but they have side effects - they can make you feel a bit queasy and anxious sometimes, although when I caught a nail infection once I did not take the tablets every single day (I stopped for a couple of days when the side effects got bad) and they still got rid of the infection.
I tried vinegar....seemed to work slightly, but smelled.

I tried oregano oil. I heard it would work but it smelled so badly that I missed the vinegar smell.

In the end, I opted for the prescription and took it half of the recommended time because of its side effects/ possible side effects.

I have never heard of a home remedy, yet, that worked. See your doctor or a podiatrist (a doctor that specializes in feet). They will be able to prescribe a medication that works. There is Lamisil tablets, you will usually need blood work before you can take these because of problems it may cause. There are also topicals that you apply directly to the affected nails.

Nail fungus can spread, so see a doctor as soon as possible. Don't expect immediate results, it takes about 1 year for a toenail to totally grow out from root to end. Good luck.
First, go to your general physician and he will most likely prescribe some anti-fungal medication. I think I have also heard about putting Vick's vapor rub, or Vaseline on the nails. I'm not sure completely about the creams, but your doctor will definitely know what to give you. My brother had toe nail fungus, and took some pills he received from the doctor, and the fungus cleared up. Sorry though, I don't remember the name of the pills. Good Luck!!

Is there a home remedy for toe nail fungus?

I was told by a old lady and man when I worked with them If you use vicks vapor rub on your toes everyday it helps them healIs there a home remedy for toe nail fungus?
You may get affected by the toenail fungus in damp areas such as public gyms, shower stalls or swimming pools. Toe nail fungus can spread from one toe to another or to other body parts. Athletes and people who give trauma to their toe by wear tight-fitting shoes or tight hosiery are at great risk of toe nail fungus. Other reasons may be abnormal pH level of the skin, not drying off the feet thoroughly after bathing or exercise, and decreased immunity.

You鈥檙e not alone this is something that millions of Americans deal with every year. I have one a much of research on the topic (personal reasons) :) and here is what I found.

1st. I have heard of ';home remedies'; that range from Vicks Vapor Rub to Vinegar but if you follow some people鈥檚 forum post who try this it seems to never fully go away. Actually it interesting to see that even here people recomend things like Vicks Rub. It seems like this never fully cures your toenail fungus.

However there are some internet sold treatments that people report work really well. After several months of use these remedies should cure the fungus, and they all come with 100% money back guarantees so you really have nothing to loose. Check out the wellness links below because you should take a look at the actual site to get an idea of what they are all about!

Vicks Vapor Rub works on all feet issues. You will have to cut back the toe nail as best as possible to the nail bed. Use a q-tip to get it into the corners of your toenail beds. Do this three times a day and put on clean socks each time. My daughter did this and within a week got rid of warts, cracked bleeding skin, and a very severe toe nail fungus. When she cut back the toe nail, there was less than half left. Don't be afraid to do this as the toe nail is dead where the fungus is at.How to cure toe nail fungus using home remedies?

When dealing with nail fungus, I find it better to use a two prong attack. You can use tea tree oil topically. I also use organic oil of oregano both topically and internally. When using oil of oregano , it should be diluted with tea tree oil. I might also consider adding a probiotic to your regimen. This will help your body to increase the good bacteria in your system. I would also advise to follow the candida diet. * Avoid sugar. According to Dr. Crook, sugar promotes the growth of yeast. The total carbohydrate intake per day is often limited. For example, during the initial two to three weeks on the diet, the carbohydrate intake may be restricted to less than 60 grams per day, depending on age, health, activity level, and the extent of food sensitivities. Low-carbohydrate foods such as meat, chicken, turkey, shellfish, non-starchy vegetables, and certain nuts are emphasized instead. As symptoms subside, the carbohydrate total of the diet is often gradually increased.

    * Avoid foods containing any type of yeast. This includes fermented foods such as bread made with yeast, cheese, tomato paste, mushrooms, and beer. Although Dr. Crook believed that people with Candida overgrowth would also be allergic to other fungi, not all practitioners believe this restriction is necessary.
