A low cost vinegar nail fungus home remedy has worked for many people people, you can try this:





Simply place 2 drops of distilled white vinegar (available at any grocery store) at the growing base of the effected nail twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening. The sooner in life you take care of this the better. This is something that is coming from your body and can come back if you don't treat it and maintain good foot hygiene.
If even prescriptions didn't work I believe there's likely a surgery that can be performed. I would guess it essentially amounts to the doctor removing the nail at the affected are and applying the medication directly to the are. Another option the doctor might have is to drill a small hole through the nail and apply the medication that way. I'm not a podiatrist so I can't say for sure but those would be the two methods I would guess they'd use since prescription drugs didn't work.
Make sure you have followed the doctor's directions in detail. Or you can ask your doctor if the drug he gave you was not enough.

Hey, i see the people under me [ or over me, where ever my answer goes] said that Vic's vapor rub works, and from a 5 year nail fungus battle experience, it doesn't. it looks like it's working, but it's really just making your nail moist. tea tree oil might not either.. what i've been doing is cutting my nail back to expose the crusty cracked yellowish infected part, filing it down, then putting generic bleach on it. [with a q-tip etc.] it has killed most of the fungus and i've only been doing this for three or four days now, it looks great. clearing up very nicely. you have to be VERY aggressive to kill nail fungus. when you file your nail, make sure you don't miss a single spot. it's very easy to miss a few spots or spores and have it get infected again. if the bleach starts to burn [ witch generic shouldn't...] wash it off Immediately! you can mess up your nail bed that way. hope i helped.Does tea tree oil works on nail fungus??? and where do you get it?
